Re: Poetry, and other Rhymes
Vor'entye, Ca'tra! I agree with Vlet, Mando'a tends to be laconic in practical use as far as I've seen, so even "par me'dinui" would be more than sufficient. On the poetry translation side, I'm going to try to do some more poems that either have IRL cultural significance or would fit well with a Man...

Re: The Mando'a Bible Translation Project
Su'cuy~! The project is open to all comers as long as the site is active, I'm just on hiatus while I sort out graduation stuff. Luke is as good a place to start as any, and I like how you think. ;) Off the top of my head your translation looks alright, and I'm not sure about "ibice" but it could be ...

Re: The Mando'a Bible Translation Project
Close. "Hokaanir" is a verb, so the noun form would be "hokaan" and "nuliser" should be "nu liser"Ner ca'nara ori yaihi'l. Nuliser miit'gaanar ner hokaanir.
Other than that, no objections! Start wherever you like, do what you can.

Re: The Mando'a Bible Translation Project
Oya! I'm glad to see that there's been activity on the board while I've been gone, and a little surprised that I didn't get any email notifications about it. Ah well. I quite like Te'Solus as the translation for God as it fits well with a lot of subsequent scripture, and Al'alor is then appropriate ...

Re: Welcome to Learn Mando'a!
@King John - actually, just "me vaar ti gar" suffices, since gar applies to plural as well.
Another possibility is "me vaar ti anade" but i'm not sure if that's in usage or even correct.
Anyway, olarom! Welcome to the group.

Psalm 91 - Translation incomplete [all verses, few words left] Psalm 91 Su'cuy, anade. Me vaar? I've not made a lot of progress on chapter 7 in the last few months, but I have had a mostly-finished Psalm sitting in another document for a while now, so here it is: Psalm 91 (frequently used in my fam...

Re: List of Custom Words
In this case of a need for a passive form I would recommend creating an adjective form for the verb in question and using it with "cuyir" to imply the passive form. Subsequently, "cuyir" can be eliminated from the sentence as per Mando'a colloquialisms. "Hukaatin", for example, can be a hypothetical...

Translating, mostly. Although that's taken second place to schoolwork for now.
Conversation is limited indeed, since I only have one friend who even knows what Mando'a is, and we aren't in touch much these days.
