Re: Musical Styles
I feel like, to a certain extent, it's going to follow how often you move. A bes'bev is great for a soldier, it's small and low profile/weight. Maybe for a slightly more in depth home, you'd likely find easily moveable but more bulky instruments like guitars/balalaikas, and the least familiar instru...

Re: Song translations
Ori might be unnecessary in ori'naastan, though I can see why you might want it as an intensifier. Given how slangy ol' is in English, you might get away with just ruug. I like the way you worked around the limitations of the vocabulary with jehav. I'm not sure on the use of eyn here, though. I don'...

Re: Buir rejorhaa’i | My mother told me (feedback?)
Don't forget that you can drop or extend the occasional syllable to better suit your meter, I think it might help the flow in the first few lines.

I think it's a fair use of dar, yes. Seems to fit the meaning on both sides.

Re: Song translations
I don't know the song personally, so I can't speak yet to the accuracy of the lyrics, but I'd say you've got a better handle on translation and grammar than 90% of the people who look at Mando'a.

It's technically correct, but I'll admit I hate it. While there's value in the semantic difference between ad and adat, I basically always use ad.

Olarom!
Practice is always the tricky part, hard to get people to sit around for it most of the time. If you need someone to practice with, I try to stay available for it!

Welcome! Don't worry, I'm sure you'll be able to pick up the basics faster than you think! Only a very small handful of people really get into it enough to even criticize, anyway

I think I misread your post. The thing you proposed is actually almost identical to the term naur'alor, which actually already exists, coming from the bounty hundet code appendix. So, well... spot on! Correct!

Re: Mando Skraan and Recipes
Wayii, that's complex! I'll need to give it a try!
Shig itself is just any tisane, so no matter what recipe you use you'll truly be making shig, but that does sound like something Mando'ade would enjoy!

Re: Onomatopoeia and Vocabulary Evolution in Mando’a
That's actually an excellent line of inquiry, and one that I think we might have heretofore neglected entirely! I'll have to think for a while about how I feel on the subject, but so far I feel your idea is perfectly serviceable (though maybe putting the cart before the horse linguistically).

Re: Welcome to Learn Mando'a! (Post Here to Introduce Yourself)
Olarom! Gar jorhaa'i jate! You're already working at a good level.=! You're handing things like conjugation pretty well, and can make yourself understood. The two things I'd change are use nu' instead of dar' (dar is specifically "no longer" instead of just "not"), and I'd replace kar'tayli with sir...
