Irish myth

Unread post by Aondeug » 21 Sep 2017 21:40

Got kind of bored today so I started translating some small bits from Irish myth. Started with one of my favorite parts of the Táin bó Cuailnge. Namely the part where Medb asks Fedelm what she sees for the upcoming war.

Ke jorhaa'ir, Fedelm!
Tion gar haati cuun akaan'ade?

Ni haati talyc, ni haati ge'talyc.
Ni haati gar tal'galar.

Ni haati verd kotelyc
Kaysh gam kadala kadala
Hetti Tracyn be Verd
Kaysh traon parjai'yc

Meshuroke e'tad be verde
Kaysh sur'haai
Cin bal cinyc
Kaysh beviine
Kute ge'tal bal talyc
Kaysh kuti

Ni haati ijaat troan
Kaysh ijaati dalase
Verd'ika bal tsukila
Sa krayt o'r akaan

Nu ni kartayli Haar Striil
Ver'gebuir be Culan, cyare
A ni kartayli ibic akaan'ade?
Kaysh tal'gala val

Kaysh juri
Cuir kad'ike
O'r bintar gaane
Kaysh hokaani gar akaan'ade
Solus kad'ika jaonyc

Not all of the poem has been done. Might finish the rest sometime tonight.
