Greetings!

I'm here to learn some Mando'a because it's fun and I find the idea of the entire Mandalorian culture and language fascinating, as well as the fact that further development and expansion of the language is up to the fans.

By looking at grammar guides that other fans have created for Mando'a, as well as grammar guides for English, I've been working on a grammar guide for Mando'a of my own, explaining basic concepts such as the different types of nouns and verbs (and what nouns and verbs are in the first place) as well as giving some examples of each. Not only does revisiting these concepts help me improve my own English skills (it's only my second language) but it might also help me learn Mando'a faster as I explore the differences and similarities between English and Mando'a, and I hope that once it's in a decent state I might be able to give it to others to use as well.

Olarom! We're always happy to see more guides like that; the more out there, the better chances someone will learn from them!

Su'cuy.

I've been long overdue for properly joining, but I've been interested in the Mandalorian language and its culture, as well as the culture that evolved from it in forums such as these.
I first became interested in it after I was introduced to Republic Commando, then the novels, and then the rest was history for me. I've been studying in the background, quietly, off and on over the years.

More than anything, though, I'm eager to have a community again, to reconnect with people, and if the means by which I do so happens to come through a hobby such as learning a language or manufacturing a kit, all the better.

I look forward to learning, reading, writing, and contributing.

Su'cuy!

I'm MaeDay,I've been using Mando'a(.org) to write Mandalorian speech/culture. however, I found that unless'm talking to someone actively about translating from English to Mando'a and back I forget what I'm writing about.

That being said I like to write Star Wars Fanfics!

ok! that's all I wanted to say!

Su’cuy!

Went down a rabbit hole and I’ve been translating songs into a language I’ve only known for a couple of days… actually, I’ve been translating some from a language I don’t know into another language I don’t know. Came here for some help.

I’ve created a sketch of a warrior culture conlang myself. Should be interesting to learn more Mando’a and compare similarities and differences!

Su'cuy! I've been following this forum through searches for a while, but just made an account so I can ask specific questions. I'm in the mmcc and really love the idea of super getting into character by knowing some mando'a, and would like to translate a few phrases that I would like my mando to say. Translating on my own has been difficult, so here I am :)

Su'cuy

I'm a big star wars fan and ever since running into the Karen Traviss books I've loved the mandalorian culture and language. I'm making an account to maybe start actually learning a few words and also to be able to ask questions about the language :)

Su'cuy! I'm a hardcore Star Wars fan, but I'll admit this is the first time I'm making an actual attempt to join a community deticated to it!(Most fans scare me, lol)
I'm excited to finally take a crack at learning Mando'a properly! Vor'e!

I've been studying mando'a for a while but only from mandoa.org. I'm sure you're all aware that that dictionary is extremely limited, PLUS theres no grammar to learn there. I'm very excited to begin expanding my knowledge on the language, and unironically carry out the culture.

Thank you for this forum
