Ner Vode! How can we be a Mandalorian forum without discussing the Mandalorian? We are now 22 topics behind, but we might as well start some place. Olar'orjore, Bo-katan Kryze, Kryze Aliit, Vizla Tomyc'aliit, Mand'alor Haar Got'sol!
So. What do we think of the new episode?

I haven't caught tonight's yet, probably won't see it until a day from now due to my schedule. That said, I'm very happy they're finally bringing back what feels more like the old culture I fell in love with all those years ago. They've only given us the tiniest smattering of Mando'a so far, but it's so much more like what I wanted ever since that whole "New Mandalorian" nonsense...

One of my favorite things to do when watching anything Star Wars is to stop and read the aurebesh or Mando’a. The Mando’a writing generally just says something english that makes sense in context, but a lot of the aurebesh makes it look like they’re really running out of ideas. There was a bit of an easter egg in the scene where they’re in the… droid morgue? I’ll try not to go into too much detail, but there’s a screen that shows up that’s supposed to be information on a person. The main text block read ‘THIS MEANS NOTHING however, fans will interpret the hell out of it.’ There was backwards text that said “wtf isc”. The top said ‘COMPLETING IMAGE 1030 1090 now im literally just typing’. Then, to finish off the gem of a frame, there was a box in the corner labeled ‘information’ that appeared to say:
Roads?
Where we are going we don’t know… roads
This added another layer for me that just made the episode all the better.
Bonus: all of the datapads in the Clone Wars show say:
ATTE rul3z
Some text

Ah, the Mando'a is either translated literally (with bad script too) or not used at all. But at least they're... trying? Have you seen the Reddit translation of the glass tablet thing?
Hope your schedule allows you to catch up soon. Watch for spoilers.

Yeah, the glass tablet annoyed me a bit, but I guess there's not much I can do about it

Ah, finally caught up on the latest episode. Interesting change of pace, and I KNEW that technicality was going to come up eventually. I'm pretty happy with where this is going.

I turned it into a Mandalorian-style verse.

Hells yeah, ner vode! That's a Mandalorian battle! It did feel a bit cheap to destroy an ancient relic so easily and damn it if I'm not a bit disappointed that they didn't have Din say the adoption lines, but I can't wait to see their adventures as father and son. This is the Way.

Moff Gideon thinking he can be the next Darth Vader. As if he could ever match up to him.

Towards the beginning, Grogu babbles a bit with a very clear ‘ba.’ I am almost certainly reading much too far into this, but I am convinced that it was be beginning of ‘buir’…
(Faux- exactly what I said about the gai bal manda!)

Yes, probably reading too much into it, but we can hope. Apprentice Din Grogu.
For a show about Mandalorians, they shit on Mando'a a surprising amount of times.

Frustrating that they won't commit to more Mando'a, yeah. It was fun to watch but I wish they would be a bit more consistent with powers and skills, y'know? One moment the jetpacks run out fo fuel after a few minute's level flight, next they can go SSTO? And the warriors are presented as tough and tactically capable... and then walk into a cartoonishly obvious ambush?
Still, the downright propaganda-level focus on Mandalorians violently taking back Manda'yaim is pandering to me so hard I can't complain.
Par Mand'alor!

I think the jetpacks actually went further than you think during that lizard bird chase.

Speaking from a purely energy-output standpoint, I don't think any chase they could go on within the same time period (the chase is implied to at least take part all in one part of the day, the lighting doesn't change much) could match the output needed to hurl a person into actual low orbit
