Eh, creating a thread for every single off topic thing related to Mandalorians would turn this into a subreddit. So. Here's one single thread for randomness.
https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Munit%27kad_halberd
The naming convention for that is dumb. Long saber Halberd. Okay.

Eh, could be better, yeah. Kinda gets the message across, at least. (It's not like real life naming conventions are super smart)

Actually, I think our naming conventions for our cold weapons are actually pretty good and well rounded.

Cold weapons?
But for real, look at the names of real polearms, they're often metaphorical at best and completely unrelated we at worst

Yeah, cold weapons. Well, specifically melee-based bladed ones, but cold weapons all the same.
Anyway, let me think of a few polearms off the top of my head. Spears makes sense. You spear with a spear. Poleaxe makes sense. It's an axe on a pole. Halberd makes sense. It's an axe with a handle. The Guandao/yanyuedao makes sense, symbolically or not. Either invented by Guan Yu or the shape of the blade is reminiscent of the moon. Glaive makes sense too.
Rapier, longsword, bastard sword, arming sword, etc, all can be argued but have a generally accurate idea.
Unless, you mean the actual name of a weapon instead of its classification?

By the way, if Sa is like/as, the dictionary has it wrong. It's as in the dictionary.

There's a number of incorrect entries in the dictionary, honestly. It's an annoyance to be sure...

Yeah, it's been pretty quiet lately. I think they're still around somewhere on discord, at least...

Oh right. There's a Discord. Maybe you can call them up to action here.

I met a person who has a different way of speaking, slightly, because he was taught by the Oyu'baat. So interesting.

That or maybe I'm just not correct.

Yeah, differing dialects make this a fun proposition. Not to mention everyone has a somewhat different vernacular approach since we're really not working from any single literary tradition or anything. It's sometimes fun, sometimes frustrating...
