Also I have to explain why I dared to change some of the word meanings of the original Kar’buir’s vocabulary.

can'gaal [ kahn-GAHL ] - migrating bird, similar to swan but bigger and with light-grey feathers (noun)
Previously "starfighter". I worked based on the original vocabulary. The “can” stem could only come from the word “ca’nara” which means “time”. Also “ca” means “night”.
Also there were only two words containing the piece “gaal”, and the other one meant X-wing. Based on that I could only assume that “gaal” means “wing”.
So the word could mean “ca’gaal” could mean “night wing”, which could be a “starfighter” that flies through the darkness of the void. But it has an “n” in the middle, so it becomes “time wing”.
What could that mean? A wing that flies on certain times? That might apply to something that flies from place to place based on the season. Just like some birds do. The description of the bird is purely made-up thing.
And the “Starfighter” was reinvented as “sky wing” – “tra’gaal”. It could also be applied to a simple airplane, but did we ever see one in Star Wars?

cyare [ SHAH-ray ] - public praise, acknowledgement, recognition (lit. "lots of love") (noun) previously "beloved, loved, popular"
Well, first of, this word is a plural by standing mando’a rules. So it couldn’t mean a singular like “loved one”. And the stem “cyar” means a general love. So that was the meaning I came up for “many loves”.

ge'sol [ geh-SOHL ] - fraction (less then whole, less then one) (numeral) previously "half"
There are two words that were translated into “half” in the original dictionary. But it doesn’t make much sense for such a simple concept, so there should be one and it should be quite simple. So the simpler word was left with meaning “half” and this one, the “almost one”, could mean exactly that. A fraction, something less then one.

nakar'tuur [ NAH-kahr-toor ] - the day after tomorrow (lit: the unknown day, rare) (noun) previously "tomorrow"
Unknown day. Well, for the nation, who praises to be a warrior culture, an army altogether, calling a next day an unknown is kinda silly. An army that cant plan at least one day ahead is a dead one. But in the ancient times, when it was just a series of wars between tribes or clans, planning further then one day ahead isn’t required. “We attack them tomorrow. Day after that, we either be winners or dead.” That would be uknown day. Thus the change.

Ni briikase ti evaar'la miite "cyare" bal "ge'sol". Especially the fact that cyare is plural is inconsistent in the original translation. Do you suggest a new word for "loved one, beloved" though? I'm going through your entire dictioanry right now, so if it's in there, I just haven't seen it yet.

Changing can'gaal might be justified, but I'm not sure that is really necessary. Sure, tra'gaal might be more appropriate, but how often does that come up anyway?

Nakar'tuur is the only one where I disagree with you. I understand where you're coming from, but perhaps you should also look at it from the opposite direction. You may never know, when a foreign tribe attacks you. Or maybe your plans were incomplete or don't work out as anticipated. A soldier that is unable to adapt is just as dead as a soldier that cannot plan one day ahead. So - I think - a Mando should always be aware of the fact that nothing can be absolutely certain, not even the very next day.
Tra'cyar mav!

You already have kih'bas as insect, bas'gam as leather, kebi'ad as merchant, kebi'yaim as shop and kebi'yaime as market. Are you going to update their definitions to something else?

Sorry, if I'm being a pain in the shebs, but I literally wrote all of this down in a notebook before my computer died.

The way I have it set up, it is 84 pages long and your work starts on page 43. I for one, would be very proud of that being as my work is 3 unnumbered pages in the very back.

About tomorrow/day after tomorrow:
I think it suits better if only for ease of everyday use. But of course im not in any way the last authority on the matter.

On words that have similar meaning, like shop etc.:
In english there are words that mean the same thing but are different: shop, store, market, kiosk etc. yes, meanings slightly differ but you can use either to the same thing. Why not in mando’a?

Do you mean about as in approximately? I'd use ge' for that. If you mean relating to, maybe be' for "of"?
