I just have a problem about this. I want to use Mandoa letters for my tattoo. But....
There a some different type fonts.
I printed the "total guide to mandalorian language" to learn it, but i can't find the font, that is used therefor.
For example the "sh" or "oy" has a special letter there, that don't exist in the fonts i found.
In some fonts n and m are similar, in others m looks like mirrored t.
In the total guide you use a symbol for ee=i which in my font means &. ???

Please help me. Which is the right one? I don't want to have some wrong letters forever on my arm!!!!

First off, I don't think they ever fixed using Mando'a script inline on the forum, sorry.

As to the accuracy of fonts, if you want the "official" ones, use the ones you can see on this site in the transcription section, here: http://mandoa.org/transcribe.html

The one you saw in the total guide was an attempt to make a script that works better with the actual sounds of the language, and it's really a question of what you prefer. Will the official one be more recognizable and easy to translate by someone seeing it? Sure. Is the other one arguable "better" Mando'a, from a linguistic perspective? Absolutely.

So the decision is really yours. Who are you hoping will see it, and do you think you'd care if they didn't like the use of a fanmade script?

Thank you. So it doesn't really matter? Ok. I'll use the font that looks recognizable to me. No one else of all people around me will ever be able to read it let alone understanding it.
But I don"t care, it is for me.
I will have to find out, how I can show pictures here...

That's the spirit! better the tattoo mean something to you first, others are a secondary concern. You can just use image tags to post a link when it's ready, convenient hosting for that sort of thing would be somewhere like imgur

SO, I'm back from my appointment in the tattoo studio.
I can't show the tattoo, because I don't know how to insert a photo/picture here without saving on a webhoster.
But I am very satisfied and happy about the result.
