Su'cuy!
I have just started learning Mando'a and am hoping to get better at learning languages through a language that I'm actually interested in. I write fanfiction and think learning this language will really help me write what I want to write.

Su’cuy!
I’m Elliot, and I recently decided to start learning Mando’a, so I’m still a beginner. However, I’m pretty fond of learning languages, so I hope I’ll be able to learn quickly. As well as Mando’a I’m also learning German and Latin (though I’m definitely more fluent in German). I live in Britain. I first discovered the wonderful world of Mandalorians after watching The Mandalorian, so I’m excited for when s3 comes out. My pronouns are they/them.

I'm sure you'll pick it up fairly simply, the grammar is much more forgiving than basically any real language. Olarom!

Re: Welcome to Learn Mando'a! (Post Here to Introduce Yourself)
Su'cuy! As one of the Resol'nare, I am putting effort into learning the Mando'a, but it is slow going. I mainly want to make sure I get down greetings and small talk appropriate for troops with the MMCC. What finally drove me to create my login here is to ask for translation confirmation or correction. Apparently the thing I say most often IRL is "Pain is how we learn things," so I think I should own it in the Mando'a. I came up with "Adol Aaray Mhi Hibiran" for "Through Pain We Learn." Have I conjugated that verb correctly? Does it sound as good for a former Night Owl turned Maul Mando's life lesson as I think it does?

Try hibira instead of hibiran, but otherwise it looks good. Sensible life advice, I like it! Olarom!

I'm a student of Mando'a in the Oyu'baat and Project Shereshoy Discord servers (and other places). I've used mandoa.org many times in the past year. I come now because I want your help, but I'll write my report in the correct place. I am indebted to you for your good work.
Hi, allies from the servers!

Su'cuy 🤗
I stumbled upon this site whilst researching Mandalorian culture. As such, I'm a complete noob to the language and would love to learn both the language and more about the culture :)
I'm also in the process of designing my beskar'gam; as well as looking at converting one of my penny whistles into a bes'bev, in the near-future (muso problems haha)
IRL I'm a simple Aussie lass, currently engaged in aviation studies.
Cheers,
Kooka

Su cuy'gar!
Ner gai is Baconator8071.
I'm brand evaar'la to the language of Mando'a, so I'm a little slow. I learned most of the Aurebesh alphabet in an hour if that's a feat to be proud of. Still don't know what the letter X is though. Been having a blast, this is way easier than French class.

Su'cuy!
I am here after watching the Mandalorian and reading some fanfic. I'll be looking for some help with translating a few phrases.
And if anyone has some suggestions for where to find some videos with spoken Mando'a I'd appreciate it a lot. So far I have found the YouTube channel of Mando'a lessons.

Olarom! Sadly, there's not huge amounts of spoken Mando'a out there. You either need to hunt for it, or find someone willing to practice with you.

Su’cuy!
To be honest, I only learned Mando’a was a language about a week ago. But naturally, when I did, I tried to learn it. So, I found this website. I’m so excited to learn the language of the Mandalorians, probably my favorite culture from Star Wars. And so close to May 4th too! To start off, I do have one question: why is it “Su cuy’gar” if the more informal version is “Su’cuy”?

Re: Welcome to Learn Mando'a! (Post Here to Introduce Yourself)
Honestly, I don't think there's a great answer to that. Easiest would be to chalk it up to languages doing funny things, I suppose. After all, why is it "su cuy'gar" instead of "gar su'cuy"?
