Re: Welcome to Learn Mando'a!
Ijaat, Burk'yc, bal Ordo, olarom, mhi vode! Welcome, our brothers (and sisters?).
So very glad to have new faces in our happy little aliit (family/clan) here at Mando'a.org. Don't mind us if you see peaks and valleys in the level of discussion. This is a labor of love we squeeze in amidst the day-to-day activities of lives.
Feel free to jump in wherever you like. Ask questions, try your hand at posting in Mando'a, make suggestions, have fun! If there is anything you want help with in specific, don't be afraid to ask.
If you are looking for graphics to use (such as a banner for your forum signatures), I humbly suggest the following thread:
viewtopic.php?f=4&t=82
If you want help with translation, you can find that here:
viewtopic.php?f=7&t=45
Want to join in our (more or less) weekly online Mando'a chats, the info is posted here:
viewtopic.php?f=15&t=63
Other than that, the forums are here to be explored and enjoyed. Looking forward to hearing from you all!
Olarom! Vode an bal oya Manda darasuum!
EDIT:
Not sure if you already know about it or have liked it, but we also have a Facebook page:
https://www.facebook.com/mandoa.org

“Soldiers are issued armour for their flesh and bones, but they must fashion their own for their souls. Piece by piece. (Steven Erikson)”
I'm actually working on crafting a proper buy'ce too, but i'm confindent in a couple of months i'll have at least a 7 people group able to speak basic mando'a and wearing a proper beskar'gam
And after showing you the pics i'm sure you all will craft their own armour

Su cuy'gar, vode.
I'm Fenedor, a student from Germany. I found this site while searching for everything mando.
I read Karen Traviss books and was fascinated from the first second. The language, the culture, everything is mesh'la.
I hope to improve my Mando'a but for the moment I am mostly using wookieepedia and this site to create some bad excuses of sentences.
Because being a native German speaker I predict that I am going to create a new dialect with my nuh'la and sometimes di'kutla sentence structure.
So please excuse my shabla mando'a and I hope tome we can improve it.
Ret'urcye mhi!

Olarom, Fenedor! Glad to have you join us.
I hope our translator and our community serve you well in your quest to learn Mando'a. We also have a (semi-)weekly chat night (usually on Sundays) on IRC, and lessons posted (currently in English, soon in Italian) every day on the Mandoa.Org Facebook page.

Re: Welcome to Learn Mando'a!
Mando'a requires no conjugation as long as the word order clears up what you're talking about. It's nice that way.
